Similar to a Swedish massage, a pregnancy massage is gentle and specifically designed to help pregnant women relax. It aims to reduce body stress and can alleviate pregnancy-related discomfort. The massage addresses any pain points in the body and provides a soothing experience.

Pregnancy puts significant stress on the body, making this massage beneficial at any stage of the gestation period. However, many clients prefer to have a massage towards the later stages of pregnancy when issues like foot and leg pain, water retention, and overall discomfort are more pronounced. This massage is centered around Mom to help her relax and ease discomfort.

After a massage session, your massage therapist may provide you with customized stretching exercises to complete after physical activity to aid muscle healing. Whether you’re an athlete looking to improve performance, recovering from an injury, or simply seeking to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle, our stretching plans are designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal and thrive. Frequently Asked Questions

By definition, Elysium is a place or state of ideal happiness.

We meticulously maintain our space, ensuring a spotless environment with fresh sheets, clean floors, and sanitized tables, and chairs. The ambiance is marked by soft lighting and relaxing spa music. Our clients typically leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Massage therapy can reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation, improve circulation, alleviate stress, and enhance overall well-being.

It is recommended to get a massage regularly, ideally once a week or at least once every two weeks, depending on your specific needs and lifestyle. Consistent massages can alleviate pain, aid in muscle healing, and prevent future muscle tension and stress.

Before your appointment, take a warm shower or bath to relax your muscles. Drink plenty of water before your appointment to hydrate. Avoid eating a heavy meal before your massage session as it may cause discomfort during the massage. It is also recommended to arrive early to fill out any necessary paperwork and communicate any specific areas of concern to your massage therapist.

Your massage therapist will guide you through the process and ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the session. You can choose between different types of massages, such as Swedish, deep tissue, or hot stone, depending on your preferences and needs. During the massage, most clients experience deep relaxation and may even fall asleep.

A Swedish massage is a popular massage technique that involves long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular movements on the top layers of muscles. The benefits of getting a Swedish massage include relaxation, stress relief, improved circulation, pain relief, and increased flexibility. A massage therapist’s hands are softer when working tense muscles during a Swedish massage.

Deep tissue massages address multiple muscle layers, focusing on trigger points known for causing discomfort while easing chronic muscle tightness and pain.

Trigger points can be stubborn to unwind, especially for clients experiencing muscle soreness from heavy lifting or manual labor.

Pregnancy can be very stressful on the body. A pregnancy massage is a gentle massage meant to help a pregnant woman relax and release tension. A pregnancy massage can be beneficial during any part of the pregnancy term but many pregnant women opt to get a massage closer to the end of the term when their feet and legs hurt the most.

During a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage, a massage therapist may use heated stones to massage and relax targeted muscles. This technique helps the muscles in the body relax to prepare for a massage. Body muscles become more pliable sooner and help speed the process of relaxation when hot stones are used during massage.

A geriatric massage caters to older individuals based on their comfort levels with various massage techniques. Those less active may require gentle pressure on sensitive areas during the massage to address age-related muscle aches.

Yes, massage therapy can be suitable for most people, but individual circumstances and medical conditions should be considered before undergoing treatment. We evaluate every client’s needs before performing a massage and will make referrals to doctors and emergency care as needed.

Massage therapy can help with specific health conditions by improving circulation, relieving muscle tension, and enhancing overall relaxation. It can also aid in alleviating pain, improving flexibility, and promoting better sleep quality. However, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating massage therapy into your treatment plan for some health conditions.

Yes, massage therapy can help with stress and anxiety by promoting relaxation, reducing muscle tension, and triggering the release of endorphins, which are known to help improve mood and decrease stress levels.

Your healing needs are our priority. We will ask questions to qualify you for massage therapy. We will also ask questions about your current pain level and if medical attention has been sought. To prevent injury, we will not provide massage services until you have properly healed from an injury and received medical clearance.
